Plymouth Recycling Company Celebrates Nomination at Popular Environmental Awards

Nov 29, 2012

Alpha:logic are celebrating after being named a finalist in the annual Devon Environmental Business Initiative (DEBI) Awards.

The Plymouth waste management company have been named a finalist in the Environmental Goods and Services category. The category is for businesses that help companies to manage and reduce their environmental impact.

The DEBI awards invite businesses with green credentials to celebrate Devon’s achievements in initiative recycling solutions and sustainability. As the current economy continues to prove a struggle, Devonshire businesses continue to put low carbon and environmentally friendly solutions at the top of their agenda to keep costs down.

Neil Stallard, Director at alpha:logic, was ecstatic to be named finalist: “We’ve had a fantastic year at alpha:logic and with the introduction of our new food waste management scheme, food:logic, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in businesses who are interested in reducing the environmental impact of their food waste. Our collaboration with Langage Farm and their Anaerobic Digestion Plant has enabled us to introduce Plymouth’s first daily, mobile food waste recycling service.”

“We are immensely proud to be part of the DEBIs for 2012. The evening is set to be an enjoyable one, with some of Devon’s best sustainable companies all under one roof. We’re incredibly excited to hear the results.”

The DEBI Awards for 2012 take place on 22nd November at the Met Office. For more information visit www.debi-online.org.uk/awards.
